PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the volume of data being handled in the production process of stereoscopic view image and to simplify the production process of stereoscopic view image. SOLUTION: For the resolution of a stereoscopic view image Z, individual viewpoint images (hereinafter, referred to rough individual viewpoint image) for n eyes are generated by lowering the resolution. For each rough individual viewpoint image (R0 , R1 , R2 , R3 , R4 ), pixels and subpixles being sampled when generating a stereoscopic view image Z are specified. Subsequently, a stereoscopic view image Z is generated by sampling the luminance sequentially starting from the rough individual viewpoint image thus specified. |
