PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a display panel in high precision and simply. SOLUTION: This is a sealing method of a display panel in which a rear plate 81 and a face plate 82 are jointed by a jointing member 206 having a melting point by a first temperature and the vacuum outer case is formed. The method comprises a process in which the panel members, that are fixed by clips 207 in the state that gap holding members 205 having a melting point by a second temperature higher than the first temperature are clipped between the plates, are heated in a vacuum heating furnace 208 for a prescribed time at a temperature lower than the above second temperature, and the gas is emitted and the emitted gas is exhausted, and a process in which, after the exhausted emitted gas is exhausted from the vacuum heating furnace 208, the above panel members are heated at a temperature higher than the above second temperature, and thereby, the gap holding members 205 are deformed and the jointing member 206 are melted and the plates 81, 82 are jointed.
