PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data with different characteristics on the same disk and also to quickly read attributes of respective zones in an optical disk. SOLUTION: A recording area attribute for designating whether a corresponding recording area is an area that allows rewriting or an area that does not allow rewriting is set in a first recording area and a second recording area from on surfaces different from each other, respectively, data representing the recording area attributes of the first and second recording areas are recorded in a structure management table provided at a prescribed position of a disk, and the recording area attributes of the first recording area are different from the recording area attributes of the second recording area. |
