PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, communication equipment, a server, a portable terminal, a communication equipment setting changing method and a storage medium capable of realizing the setting change of a communication adapter even under a mobile environment where no PC is carried, and realizing the setting change of the communication adapter which is suitable for the mobile environment without bothering to carry any notebook-size PC. SOLUTION: A server 109 is provided with a user information management region 601 related with the operation of a communication adapter 101, and the communication adapter 101 is provided with a flash memory 408 for holding set information related with its own operation and a CPU407 for acquiring the setting information held by the server 109, and for storing the acquired set information in the flash memory 408, and a digital portable telephone set 110 is provided with an LCD705 for inputting set information related with the operation of the communication adapter 101 and a transmitting means for transmitting the inputted set information to a server 109.
