PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data providing method, a data acquiring method, a data providing server, a data providing program, a data acquiring program, and a storage medium capable of obtaining required data via a network such as the Internet without requiring to preinstall the data in a computer for giving and receiving the data, without impairing real-time performance, and without a problem on security. SOLUTION: This server 10 receives data-related information on the data from one client 12; from the data-related information, forms data recognizing information for allowing one or more other clients 14 to recognize the data- related information; transmits the data recognizing information to one or more other clients 14; requires the transmission of the data for one client 12 according to a data request from one or more other clients 14; and provides the data received from one client 12 for one or more other clients 14.
