PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter which can generate an output voltage on steps smaller than those of a supplied power voltage Vdd. SOLUTION: In the DC-DC converter of switched capacitor type in three-stage constitution which is supplied with a power voltage Vdd, a first stage for example, includes two capacitors C11 and C12 , and further, switches 61, 62, and 63 capable of switching these capacitors C11 and C12 into series or parallel are provided. At charging, the capacitors C11 and C12 are connected in series by turning on the switch 61, and at discharging, the capacitors C11 and C12 are connected in parallel by turning on the switches 62 and 63. Hereby, a boosted voltage of 3.5 Vdd can be obtained from an output terminal 40.
