PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectilinear/rotary actuator whose linear movement and rotational movement can be controlled individually and simultaneously. SOLUTION: A rotation drive motor B has a hollow shaft 3. When the rotation drive motor B turns a third nut 8 coupled with a spline part 9, an output shaft 7 coupled rotatably with a rectilinear shaft 21 via bearings 19 and 20 is turned. A screw part 12 and a spline part 13 are formed on the rectilinear shaft 21 and a first nut 11 is screwed onto the screw part 12, and a second nut in a fixed state is coupled with the spline part 13. The first nut 11 is fixed to a hollow shaft 6 of a rectilinear drive motor A and turned. When the rectilinear drive motor A is driven, the first nut 11 is turned and the rectilinear shaft 21 is moved linearly along the axis, and the output shaft 7 is moved linearly accordingly.
