PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket vending machine with which a user does not have to search for a target passenger fare from a fare table written in small characters and also does not have to perform an image operation in a normal processing mode. SOLUTION: This automatic ticket vending machine reads the name of a destination station and the number of tickets to be bought from a handwriting card with the name of a destination station and the number to tickets to be bought handwritten thereon and issues a prescribed train ticket on the basis of the read name of the destination station and the read number of tickets to be bought.
