PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more compact and pressure-tight electric double capacitor. SOLUTION: A separator 7 is interposed between a pair of polarized electrodes impregnated with an electrolyte, or a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 5. As the polarized electrodes, porous conductive ceramic having a mesoporous structure is used. The porous conductive ceramic is preferably manufactured by supermolecular molding and has a pore of which diameter is controlled. The supermolecular molding preferably employs a mold made of an aggregate of surface-active agent or a high polymer. |
