PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor and an instrument using the stepping motor which devises the shape of its stator yoke and enables smooth fitting of coil elements to the yoke, while properly securing the number of turns of windings as a coil of each coil element. SOLUTION: Each arm portion 42, 43 of an approximately U-shaped yoke portion 40 has each planar internal wall 42a, 43a, respectively. After a bobbin 70 of a coil element Ca is fitted between the planar internal wall 43a of the arm portion 43 and the tip part of a support rod 54 of a yoke portion 50 so as to be coaxial with the support rod 54, the bobbin 70 is fitted along the support rod 54 from outside and is supported. After the bobbin 100 of a coil element Cb is fitted between the planar internal wall 2a of the arm portion 42 and the tip of a support rod 64 of the yoke portion 60 so as to be coaxial with this support rod 64, the bobbin 100 is fitted along the support rod 64 from outside and is supported.
