PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document supply tray which is simplified in structure, can be extended or retracted through adjustment to the height of the length size of a document, is intensified in structure, can realize labor saving and space saving and has good appearance. SOLUTION: This document supply tray comprises a plate body 1 provided with vertical guides 1a, 1b at the central part in the right and left directions, narrow plate supports 2A, 2B provided with the longer guide grooves 2a, 2b which are provided in the rear side of the lower side and erected in pair in both right and left sides at the rear side of the apparatus body 10, a long-plate half body 3A with hole provided with a longer guide hole 3a which is pivotally provided to move in the vertical direction to the longer guide grooves 2a or 2b of the one narrow-plate support 2A or 2B, and a long-plate half body 3B provided with a rib 3b projected at the area near the end part thereof which is pivotally provided to move in the vertical direction to the guide groove 2b or 2a of the other narrow-plate support 2B or 2A. The long-plate half body 3A with hole and the long-plate half body 3B are coupled in a plurality of stages assuring free expansion and compression almost in the shape of character X at the front elevation and the fit-in rib 3c and fit-in rib 3c of the long-plate half body 3A with hole and the long-plate half body 3B with hole are fitted with each other to move in the guide groove 1a of the plate type body 1.
