摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module which has a center wavelength in the range of 1,300 and 1,440 nm for laser light and which keeps a semiconductor laser element in a stable oscillation state. SOLUTION: An LD element 5a for oscillating laser light whose center wavelength is in the range of 1,300 and 1,440 nm is stored in a package 2, and an optical path from the LD element 5a to the incident end of an optical fiber 8b is sealed by the package 2. The package 2 is filled with a nitrogen gas of standard atmospheric pressure with a quantity of water being suppressed to 100,000 vol.ppm at most. Consequently, the quantity of water in the optical path of the laser light in the package 2 is suppressed to 100,000 vol.ppm or below.
