Three-dimensional open-work knitted fabric for wall reinforcement in surgery has monofilament bracing between front and rear layers

The reinforcing fabric consists of front (AV) and rear (AR) layers of knitted biocompatible monofilaments forming open polygonal stitches. The layers are connected by bracing monofilament stitches (2) every few rows, e.g. every six rows, and each layer has two sides of knitted monofilaments with specified gauges.
