PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a secondary battery power supply system which eliminates work for replacing secondary batteries and can always supply power. SOLUTION: A secondary battery system comprises a plurality of the secondary batteries 1a, 1b, 1c disposed in parallel, switches 2a, 2b, 2c, a degradation detecting apparatus for detecting degradation of each secondary battery, and a controller 4 for operating the switches 2a, 2b, 2c. When the degradation of the secondary batteries 1a, 1b, 1c is detected by the degradation detecting apparatus, the secondary battery system replaces the degraded secondary batteries 1a, 1b, 1c with other secondary batteries in accordance with the switch operation of the controller 4.
