PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower which keeps insulation between its charged portions and noncharged portions, even if carbon brushes wear out. SOLUTION: This blower is provided with a motor portion 15 which has a commutator 9 for performing rectification and carbon brushes 14 which touch the commutator 9 and slide and supply power, and brackets which support an output shaft 6 by the use of bearings 10 freely rotatably. The output shaft 6 is provided with an insulator 22 which is approximately in the shape of a disk is put between the commutator 9 and one of the bearings 10, and has an insulation member 23 which touches the bracket 12 sliding, and deposition of carbon on the internal surface of the bracket 12 can be suppressed.
