PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detachably fit a scanner device to a base device. SOLUTION: There are provided an image forming device, a reading part, a motor, and a roller driven with the motor. The scanner device is detachably fitted to the image forming device. When the scanner device is fitted to the image forming device, the motor drives the roller to carry a medium, and the medium is read by the reading part. When the scanner device is removed from the base device for use, the motor drives the roller to run the scanner device, and the reading part reads the medium.
