PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burglar preventing system where an alarm is generated from a first and a second communication modules 8 when the transmission of a high frequency signal between the first and second communication modules 8 ceases and a speedy dealing with respect to the burglary of a carried article is performed. SOLUTION: The system is constituted of the first communication module loaded on the carried article and the second communication module 8 that the carrier of the carried article carries. The first and second communication modules 8 radio- transmit the high frequency signal of a short radio communication system, and they are provided with a high frequency signal transmission/reception part 9, a warning generation part 10, an operation mode setting part 11 and a control part 15. In the first and second communication modules 8, the warning generation part 10 does not generate warning while the high frequency signal is radio-transmitted between both high frequency signal transmission/reception parts 9 when a burglar preventing mode is set. When the carried article is separated from the carrier for not less than a prescribed distance and the high frequency signal is not radio-transmitted between the high frequency signal transmission/reception parts 9 of the first and second communication modules 8, the alarm issuing part 10 generates an alarm.
