PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a percussion instrument sound by detecting styles of rendition of a closed rim shot and an open rim shot. SOLUTION: A rim (c) is coupled with the circumference of an opening end of a bottom case (e) at the circumference of a head (f). On the rim (c), a 1st rim shot switch 11 (SW1) and a 2nd rim shot switch 12 (SW2) are provided and covered with a rim cushion (a). The SW1 is at a distance from a player and the SW2 is close to the player. A sensor unit part 10 detects switch operations of the SW1 and SW2 detecting percussion signals of a percussion to the head (f) and a percussion to the rim part. The closed rim shot is decided when the SW1 is ON and the open rim shot is decided when the SW2 is ON (SW1 is OFF). |
