<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of replacing a defective battery in the secondary batteries constituting the battery pack, which can optimize the performance of a battery pack after replacement. SOLUTION: In replacing the defective battery 16 in the secondary batteries 12 constituting the battery pack 10, with a new battery 18, the new battery 18 is disposed in a position within a high temperature region 14 of high temperature and without the temperature difference, excluding the vicinity of both end parts of the battery pack 10. When the battery temperature becomes high, internal resistance in the secondary batteries 12 is lowered, and charging efficiency is also lowered. Consequently, if the new battery 18 is disposed in the high temperature region 14, the function difference between the new battery 18 and the other secondary batteries 12 is reduced, and the dispersion of performance in the secondary batteries 12 constituting the battery pack is reduced to optimize the performance of the battery pack 10.</p> |
