Protection of software applications against piracy by extraction of a code block from a part of the application and then providing a link to the extracted part

Method for securing a computer application has the following steps: definition of elementary blocks (2) of executable instructions, each elementary block including a series of instructions with exclusively sequential control transfer that have boundaries adjacent to non-sequential transfer instructions; retrieving a part of the application (3) including at least an elementary block with a total of at least two incoming non-sequential control transfers; and replacement of the extracted part with a linking part that provides a link to the extracted part. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program.
