The invention relates to a spinal osteosynthesis assembly comprising: the head (6) of an anchoring member (4) consisting of at least one arm (8); and a tool (20) for fixing said head (6) to a spinal osteosynthesis system. The inventive assembly is characterised in that the tool (20) can hold the head (6) by creating at least one lateral support (43, 49) on at least one lateral edge (18) of the arm and an additional support (58, 63) on the head in the opposite direction to the lateral support.
