PORTABLE TERMINAL HAVING MANY BACK LIGHTS BEING CONTROLLED INDIVIDUALLY

PURPOSE: A portable terminal having many back lights being controlled individually is provided to reduce a power consumption by controlling the operation of an LCD panel and back light which cost high capacity power consumption of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(60) displays information data. A back light(63) emits lights of different portions to the display unit(60). A control unit(10) controls the back light(63). A power supply unit(20) supplies a power to the back light(63) according to a control signal of the control unit(10). An LCD panel(61) displays information data and image data to an exterior. The back light(63) comprises a plurality of LEDs which are mounted on different portions of the LCD panel(61). The control signal controls to emit at least one back light(63) corresponded to display areas(A,B,C,D) of information data being displayed on the LCD panel(61). The power supply unit(20) supplies power for emitting the back light(63) corresponded to a predetermined display area of the LCD panel(61) by the control signal of the control unit(10).
