PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jamming from occurring because carrying force at a fixing nip part is lowered due to curling of a recording paper to an image surface side between transfer and fixing in an image forming device equipped with a fixing device having a fixing roller and a sheet type pressure member. SOLUTION: In this image forming device equipped with the fixing device having the fixing roller 20 and the sheet type pressure member 25, the position of the fixing nip part is set to be upper than a plane including a recording paper carrying direction at a transfer nip part. The device is provided with a recording paper guide 30 for guiding the recording paper carried by a transfer roller 7 to the roller 20 side, and the guide surface of the guide 30 is inclined to go up gradually with its roller 7 side as the lowermost position.
