PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inform a fault when the fault occurs in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: When the fault occurs in the image forming device 1 during image forming operation, the fault is detected by a fault detecting means 3. All the units 11, 12, 13, 17 and 18 in the communication range of a short distance radio communication means 4 of the image forming device 1 are retrieved by a retrieving means 5. The occurrence of the fault and the contents of the occurred fault of the image forming device 1 are informed by the short distance radio communication means 4 to all the units 11, 12, 13, 17 and 18. Since the occurrence and the contents of the faults are informed to all the communicating units which can communicate in a communication range, the user of any unit of all the communication units rapidly restores the fault of the image forming device 1. |
