PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that is provided with an optical low-pass filter and a compact imaging optical system and where a degree of freedom in designing is large, its manufacturing cost is low, and manufacturing is easy. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a focus lens system 11 for forming an object picture, an electronic imaging means 17 for receiving the object picture, and a processing means 21 that is provided with a circuit 19 to process a video signal outputted from the electronic imaging means 17. The focus lens system 11 is comprised of an optical element 12 that produces a light to reduce a spatial frequency response of the focus lens system 11 as well as an unnecessary diffracted light that becomes a bias element in a video signal when it is picked up by the electronic imaging means, and a holographic optical element 12 has interference fringes producing a plurality of point pictures, and then the processing means 21 is provided with a correction means 20 to remove or reduce the bias elements in the video signal resulted from the unnecessary diffracted lights of the holographic optical element 12.
