PURPOSE: To recommend a program which is not yet broadcasted to a user. CONSTITUTION: Taste level data being the index of the taste for a program of a user are supplied from user terminals 3-1 to 3-n (user terminal 3) to a server 1, and the server 1 calculates the correlation of a taste trend for the program with the other users who are using this service based on the taste level data. The user terminal 3 displays an electronic program chart transmitted from the server 1, and when the reservation of viewing or recording is inputted from the user, the user terminal 3 transmits the reservation information to the server 1. The server 1 calculates the predicted value of the taste level of each user for a program to be broadcast in the future based on the correlation of the taste level and the reservation information, and transmits it to each user terminal 3. The user terminal 3 prepares the list of programs to be recommended to the user by referring to the predicted value of the taste level of a programs to be broadcast in the future.
