PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composite system and method capable of accurately expressing the color and the luminance of a composite image photographed by a plurality of cameras. SOLUTION: The image composite system comprises a plurality of cameras 1, 2 and an image composite apparatus 3, selects a camera whose distance up to a target point of an imaging object face is closest, uses the color and the luminance of the target point photographed by the camera for the color and the luminance of the target point, and applies the same processing to the entire imaging object face so as to composite images of a plurality of the cameras. Since a camera closer to the target point is selected among a plurality of the cameras and the color and the luminance are adopted, this results in selecting a camera whose imaging area is smaller with respect to a unit pixel of the camera, them the composite image with high precision in the color and the luminance can be obtained. |
