PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in moving a cursor on an input device for information processing device or the like. SOLUTION: The input device has a cursor key 1 that provides instructions for the cursor movement in a display part 8, a detection means 2 that detects the operation status of the cursor key, a rotational operation body 3, a detection means 4 that detects the operation status of the rotational operation body 3, and a cursor movement information means 5 that receives the detection results from the cursor key detection means 2 and the rotational operation body detection means 4. In response to the operation of cursor key only and the simultaneous operation of the cursor key and the rotational operation body, respectively, the device outputs a signal regarding the cursor movement. An operator can operate so that the cursor moves in a screen speedily and at an arbitrary speed.
