<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlilnear resistor the thickness of which can be increased and the discharge withstand current rating characteristic of which can be improved. SOLUTION: The nonlinear resistor, the main component of which is zinc oxide (ZnO), contains bismuth, titanium, cobalt, manganese, and nickel as sub- components, the contents of which are set to 0.1-5.0 mol% in terms of bismuth oxide (Bi2 O3 ), 0.1-5.0 mol% in terms of titanium oxide (TiO2 ), 0.1-5.0 mol% in terms of cobalt oxide (CoO), 0.1-5.0 mol% in terms of manganese oxide (MnO), and 0.1-5.0 mol% in terms of nickel oxide (NiO), respectively, and further contains tellurium, the content of which is set to 0.001-3.0 mol% in terms of tellurium oxide (TeO2 ).</p> |
