PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort image data for each user or digital camera when the image data recorded in a media in the camera is transmitted to a data storage unit and stored. SOLUTION: The method for transmitting the image data comprises a step of recording image data S in the media 12 by photographing by using the digital camera 1. The method further comprises the steps of transmitting the image data S to a photograph store 2 via a portable telephone 3 when the blank capacity of the media 12 is eliminated, and storing the image data in a server 22.
