PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically settable a threshold for a binarization process on the basis of a desired area, and to make settable the plurality of thresholds. SOLUTION: The binarization process is executed to an input image on the basis of a prescribed threshold. The binarization processing method is provided with a process for displaying data on the input image as an image; a process for generating a density histogram on the basis of the input image, a process for calculating the density threshold value on the basis of a characteristic quantity expressed by peak numbers of peaks included in the density histogram of the input image and an offset amount of the peak number from a peak position, a process for specifying an arbitrary position to the displayed image by a user, and a process for setting the density threshold on the basis of the characteristic quantity obtained from a density value of the position specified on the image by the user. |
