PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate replacement of a recording sheet by labor-saving by the installing space of a facsimile apparatus. SOLUTION: Since a recording sheet delivery tray 3 constitutes the part of a facsimile apparatus body 1, the tray 3 does not externally extend from the body 1, an original cover 6 forms the delivery tray of an original 1, and an original supply tray 7 is disposed on the delivery tray; the supply tray 7 does not extend from the body 1 as well. Since a recording sheet cassette 2 can be drawn from a front surface of the body 1, a cut sheet supplementing work can be conducted from the front of the apparatus, and hence a user may not move around to the side of the body 1. Since the line sensor of an image reading unit 5 is one set, the sensor can read both the original 11 on an original read surface 13 and the original 10 on the tray 7, the constitution of the apparatus can be simplified.
