The tyre uniformity testing involves a rotationally mounted tyre which is pressed on and rotated by a pressure roller (2). A force measurement unit (20) measures the axial reaction force on the tyre due to irregularities, and a geometry measuring unit (10) scans the geometric contour of the tyre (1), for producing a geometric measurement signal (14), characterising the geometric dimensions of the tyre (2). The defect in the force signal, which results from the influence of the tyre deformation with the rolling on of the pressure wheel (2), is compensated, with the help of the determined force measuring signal (24). The force measurement signal is divided by a spring strength of the tyre and is subtracted from the geometric measuring signal. Whilst taking account of an angular displacement ( alpha ) of the geometry measuring unit compared to the pressure wheel. |
