<p>A method of cleaning a reverse osmosis membrane comprising the step of injecting into a reverse osmosis membrane module (2) a strong acid water produced at an anode by electrolyzing an electrolyte and having a pH of 1.8-3.5 and a oxidation/reduction potential of at least 1000 mV to separate germs from the module (2) itself, and removing calcium and sulfates deposited in the module; and a filtering device (1) incorporating a cleaning mechanism using this method and having a simple structure that need not use externally and specially supplied sterilizing agent nor disinfectant.</p> |
