<p>The present invention relates to a method for determining the quality of a fundus image, the use of said quality for determining pathologies and/or artefacts in the image, and methods for handling said image, as well as a system comprising algorithms performing the methods. The quality measure may be global for the whole image or a local measure. The quality measure may be selected from contrast measure, a sharpness measure, an interlacing measure, a signal-to-noise ratio, a colour composition measure and an illumination measure.</p> |
