The drive for a closing wire bar (2) with closing wires (1) and a knitting needle bar (4) with slide needles (3), at a warp knitter or stitch-knitting machine, has servo motors (5.2,5.4). The motor drive shafts (8.2,8.4) are fitted with eccentrics (9.2,9.4) to transmit the rotary drive to slides (10.2,10.4) or rockers fixed at the bars.
