Cationic reactive dyes of the general formula [A-(Dm-B)x]<n+> An<n-> (1), wherein A is the radical of a cationic chromophore selected from the group of the acridine, anthraquinone, azine, azo, azomethine, benzimidazole, cyanine, diazo, dioxazine, ketoimine, methine, monoazo, nitro, oxazine, polymethine, quinoline, thiazole, triarylmethane and xanthene series, D is -NR-, -(NR'-(C1-C7alkylene)-NR")-, or a piperazinylene of formula (I), wherein R is hydrogen, C1-C4alkyl, -CO-C1-C4alkyl, -CO-phenyl, ortho-, meta- or para-(C6H4)-(C1-C4-alkyl), ortho-, meta- or para-(C6H4)-(C1-C4alkylene)-<+>N(R7R8R9) or -(C1-C4alkyl)-<+>N(R7R8R9), wherein R7, R8 and R9 are each independently of the others hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, and R' and R" are each independently of the other hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, m is an integer 0 or 1, and x is an integer from 1 to 8, n<+> is the charge of the radical [A-(Dm-B)x] and is an integer from +1 to +6, n<-> is the charge of the anion and is an integer from -1 to -6, An is an anion, and B i a fibre-reactive group and the use thereof for dyeing hair.
