A print head cleaning device has a blade or squeegee-device (6) for removing residual pigments from the print head (2), and a device (7) for positioning the blade or the squeegee device. The cleaning device has at least one heating device (8) for heating the blade or squeegee device (6), the latter being specifically movably arranged on a first container for receiving the residual pigments removed by the blade or squeegee. An Independent claim is given for (A) an ink-jet printing system and for (B) a method of cleaning a print head.
