To selectively allocate workstation functions to an operator workstation (AAP), a user (TEN) database (TDB) contains an allocation of restriction levels for services. A restriction table (ETA) contains an allocation of restriction levels to service functions and user requests to the operator workstation can be restricted automatically by means of the user database and the restriction table.
