The method involves associating at least one object with an object box (46) as a static characteristic representing the object size in the image plane, with a defined shape and size and corresponding in shape and size to the entity (16) represented by the object. Dynamic state variables determining the object position include object box reference point co-ordinates with which the position of the object box and hence object can be determined. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a computer program, a computer program product and an arrangement for implementing the method.
