RACK MOUNTED ROUTERS

A router system includes a rack, a first array of fabric router modules interconnected in a router fabric and housed in a first housing mounted on t he rack, and a second array of fabric modules interconnected in a router fabric and housed in a second housing mounted adjacent to the first housing in the rack. The first and the second arrays of fabric router modules are connected together with fabric connections to form a system router fabric.
