A rectangular paving brick has an upper face, two long sides, two short sides and a lower face. Each long side has a left half and a right half, each with an outwards-projecting rib (5) slightly offset to one side or the other of the respective mid-point. When placed against an identical paving brick, the ribs stand shoulder to shoulder, defining a gap between adjacent bricks. The brick short sides have similar off-centre ribs. The brick lower face has a transverse centreline inverted open cavity (2).
