It is intended to provide drugs for preventing/ameliorating diseases caused by acceleration of matrix metalloprotease characterized by containing a solvent extract of Ganoderma lucidum. Namely, drugs for preventing/ameliorating diseases caused by acceleration of matrix metalloprotease (MMP) characterized by containing a solvent extract of Ganoderma lucidum. Because of having an effect of inhibiting MMP, the extract of Ganoderma lucidum is useful in preventing, inhibiting or ameliorating symptoms of various diseases caused by the acceleration of MMP such as cancer metastasis, ulcer formation, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, periodontitis, skin aging, etc.
