<p>The invention relates to a novel method of synthesising chicoric acid. The inventive method is characterised in that it comprises a single deprotection step, more specifically a debenzylation step. Said method comprises the following steps: d) diesterification of 3,4-dibenzyloxycinnamic acid in the presence of dibenzyl tartrate in order to obtain perbenzylated compound 2,3-bis(3,4-dibenzyloxycinnamoyl)-dibenzyl-tartrate; e) debenzylation of the perbenzylated compound in order to obtain chicoric acid. The invention also relates to the novel perbenzylated compound, the method of synthesising the chicoric acid from said novel compound and the method of synthesising said novel compound. Moreover, said invention relates to the use of the chicoric acid obtained and of the novel compound in a pharmaceutical composition.</p> |
