A control sensor has a solar-cell (2) for generating the operating voltage for the sensor (2), the latter being positioned under a cowling-type cover (3) made from a light-transparent material which scatters the incident light which passes through the material. The cover is rigidly joined to one side of a housing (1) with the solar cell (2) seated in the upper face of the housing (1) under the cover.
