A polycarbonate and/or polyester carbonate composition, having modified impact resistance, contains 0.5-5 pts. wt. of at least one oxalate compound (with respect to 100 pts. wt. composition) comprising a metal oxalate, metal hydroxy oxalate, oxalic acid ester or metal salt of an oxalic acid ester. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a process for the production of the composition by mixing of the components and melt compounding at 200-300 [deg]C in a kneader, extruder or twin screw extruder; (2) article molded from the composition.
