The fastening system for attaching a molded vehicle roof lining (2) to car bodywork (1) comprises a bolt (7) which passes through a bore in the lining. A nut (9) is fitted on this and bolt and nut are passed through a second bore (3) in the bodywork. This has flexible claws (10) near its top which lodge against the bodywork and a deformable disk (8) which lodges between the base of the bodywork and the top of the lining.
