The invention relates to a method of generating charging identifier in internet One Number Link You (ONLY) service, which simply utilizes the calling identifier of gateway to generate an unique charging identifier with printed characters. The method includes: charging identifier is formed by (32) printed characters, every character in charging identifier is denoted with (4) bits of binary; obtaining the calling identifier of (16) characters, then every characters of calling identifier is denoted with (8) bits of binary; every character of calling identifier corresponds to two characters of charging identifier, then highest four bits in (8) bits of call identifier corresponds to (4) bits of charging identifier, and lowest four bits in (8) bits of call identifier corresponds to (4) bits of another charging identifier. Because (4) bits of binary denotes a range from 0 to 15, so it is possible to estalish one-to-one relation with printed character 0-9 and A-F.
