A herbicide composition comprising an uracil compound represented by the general formula (I): (I) [wherein Z is halogeno or cyano; A is oxygen, sulfu r, or NH; R1 is hydroxyl, C1-C7 alkoxy, or the like; and R2 is hydrogen or methyl] and at least one organophosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, agriculturally acceptable glyphosa te salts and ammonium DL-homoalanin-4-yl (methyl)phosphinate; and a method for weeding by applying an effective dosage of the herbicide composition to weed s.
