A herbicide composition comprising an uracil compound represented by the general formula (I): (I) [wherein Z is halogeno or cyano; A is oxygen, sulfu r, or NH; R1 is hydroxyl, C1-C7 alkoxy, C3-C7 alkenyloxy, C3-C7 alkynyloxy, or the like; and R2 is hydrogen or methyl] and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of N-(7-fluoro-3,4-dihydro-3-oxo-4-prop-2-ynyl-2H- 1,4-benz- oxazin-6-yl)cyclohex-1-ene-1,2-dicarboximide and N-[2,4- dichloro- 5- [4-(difluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1- yl]phenyl]methanesulfonamide; and a method for weeding by applying an effective dosage of the herbicide composition to weeds. According to the invention, weeds can be effectively killed particularly in orchards, soybean fields and non-crop land.
